The Balcony is The Night World: Circle Daybreak's music page--the place where everyone can submit songs and lyrics they feel reflect the books of Lisa Jane Smith, writer of the legendary The Vampire Diaries, as well as the equally oustanding The Secret Circle, The Forbidden Game, Dark Visions and The Night Worldseries.

This page was named after [Bonnie's favorite!] the prom scene in The Forbidden Game: The Chase, where Jenny and Julian dance on the balcony overlooking the ocean. The haunting description of the music therein opens this page. The Balcony serves as the place where the music transports us, sends us to another realm between shadow and light. A place where it is easier to wrap yourself in the night.

A lot of people have worked hard on this page, and I wanted to thank them...

First off, Poppy North and her crew for getting the page started in the first place, even if it was kind of left hanging for a bit. The genius was in the concept, dahling...

Secondly, those who helped me pull this together--The Balcony Brigaders. Big thanks to Red for her graphics and html knowledge. She saved me many a time from page-building hell, which is a very real and scary place. She's also the person who helps keep this page up and running, and sorts through your mail with me and whatnot. Send her kisses!

Thirdly, thanks to Kestrel Redfern for saying, "Bonnie! Get the soundtrack pages done before you start anything else!" Good advice indeed for the scatterbrained me. Also thanks to Elena Gilbert for being not only a fantastic friend, but also another person who kept me straight and sane during soundtrack mania.

And lastly to Cassie Blake, mistress of The Night World, who appreciates the good in discipline--"What's the use of being queen of the school if you can't pull rank sometimes?"--as well as in having fun. It's because of her that>Circle Daybreak is the best LJ Smith fan club on the web.

Oh, and a big 'ole thank you to LJ Smith, who writes some of the smartest, sexiest and suavest gothic YA ever. May our little sisters and brothers grow up loving Elena, Stefan, Damon, Cassie, Adam, Diana, Faye, Jenny, Julian, Tom, Kaitlyn, Gabriel, Rob and the vampires, witches, werewolves, shapeshifters and such of the Night World as much as we do.
