We are not as high up as the Redferns or the Harmans because of our heritage. For century the members of my family have been finding their soulmates. Usually these soulmates were in the forms of other species of NightWorlders or humans. The Rosethorns were originally witches, but through the years these lines have been mixed with all other species. I like to think that my family has the best of every species. The witches of the family have a special talent for plants and herbs and the lamia have amazing telepathy powers. Most of the shifters are feline or canine. That was the main biggest history lesson :). Later on when vampires came about..they weren't very welcomed. They were considered to be evil beings but the clan was proven wrong. One vampire by the name of Thornze was abused when he came to our village. The people had sensed his being a vampire and immediately tortured him cruelly but naturally as a vampire they are all strong and managed to get away from the mob. But even with all his strength he couldn't run away from the crowd homing in on him. He was then taken to the elders. The elders considered that he was to be staked the very next morning..when his powers were the weakest. It just so happened that same night something terrible had happened. A fire had occurred in the village. No one knew how it started..but a few of the clans children and the Crone, Zahnya was surrounded in a burning house. Thornze who was still keep a prisoner saw this and broke free. He rushed into the house and saved the Crone and the children. He had severe burns that healed just as quickly. After that night the clan considered that they could trust Thornze. He was not the first vampire to visit the village. There had been many more and they had all drunk the innocent blood of a child. Thonze was the first lamia to visit them. He had more control and since he had saved Zahnya he was allowed to have donors feed him if he wanted. But he said that he had always fed on animals and had no intention on feeding one of them. He also said that he was a descendant of the first Vampire, Xenia. But of course we weren't sure who his descendant was. He said he was abandoned as a baby and lived with the animals until he was found by an old lady. She nursed him and taken care of him. She had died and that was the reason he had gone wondering on his own. He had married a pretty witch and a vampire family grew in the clan. His children were taught how to shapeshift and that's how vampires came about. That was the second biggest history. Now even in modern times..the same rules have been followed and the people of the clan have always been loyal to it. The elders never had much problems. Animals will always be a part of us all. The Ames Family Head of Clan: Sybil History: My great great great granddad and grandma where married. He was a vampire and she was a shifter. they had three kids. The kids got to chose what they wanted to be. If they wanted to shift then they ate flesh. If they wanted to be vampires they drink blood. One of the kids, my great great granddad chose to be a vampire but he also married a shifter. One of his sisters also chose to be a vampire, but married another vampire. The youngest chose to be a shifter. He married a witch. See this family has no problem with the other races. My granddad chose to be both a shifter and a vampire. He found out he had great power with both. He also married a witch. They had four kids. The oldest was a girl, she chose to be a vampire and still be a witch. Then came a boy, he wanted to be like his dad and be a vampire shifter. Next came another boy, my dad. He liked power so he tried to be a vampire, shifter and witch. The youngest girl became a witch. My dad married my mom who was a witch, hoping he could have more power. Then he had me and three other kids ( to be named). I am a Vampire/Shifter who shifts in to a tiger. The Draven Clan Head of Clan: Ishtar and Sable History: The Draven first were heard of in the late 1700's in Paris, France. They were a very wealthy family, and had many estates and property every where. But everyone one knew there was something different about this family. When news of the New World came to Paris, the Draven family was the first to move to the unknown land. They bought lots of land and made a big fortune. As the years went by each Draven died off, rather by stake or burning, but soon they had to mate with a witch family. As the years went by one of the Draven's mixed with a shapeshifter, giving their family blood a mixture of vampire, witch, and shapeshifter. Now a days each Draven goes their own way. Which ever species they chose to side with, is what they are considered. They still have a big estates, and the head leader of the Draven's, Clovis, the oldest of the clan sits on the Night World council. Website The Cabot Clan Head of Clan: Wren History: Our heritage can be traced back to the Celtic races of Northwestern Europe. Lands that would later be known as Scotland, Ireland, Great Britain and Wales. Our history begins Baile, the oldest son of a Druidess or Hearth-woman. Baile, a sailor, disappeared one stormy eve while fishing. When he reappeared, with him was a woman, ethereal as the highland fog upon a loch. Her name was Namarie. Bailes people and family welcomed the foreigner with open arms. Namarie displayed great wisdom and vision, this combined with her great passion for the ocean, convinced Bailes people that she was a selkie, one of the "faeryfolk". Therefore, when the couples child was born, they called her a "faery child". They named their little girl Cailte. As she grew, she was able to communicate and bond with all the animals of the forest and sea. Nature spirits were said to whisper to her on the winds, Elementals and the Fey were said to protect her. When Cailte came of marrying age, she was courted by two young men: Boan and Tannus. Boan was of her own people, the son of another Druidess. Tannus was from a neighboring village. Unknown to all, he was a shapeshifter. The three spent many of their days together, but everyone noticed how Cailtes eyes would linger on Boan. This fact didn't escape Tannus, conflicts between the two young men grew out of hand and Tannus was soon forbidden passage into Cailtes village. Tannus took to stalking the couple, especially after hearing that they planned on handfasting during the fall of the harvest moon. The night of the ritual, Tannus came upon the couple making love. Unwilling to control his rage, Tannus shifted into his animal form and attacked. He killed Boan and then turned on Cailte. Even in her pain, Cailte was able to communicate with the panther, to soothe the beast. Appalled by his actions Tannus quickly changed back into human form. He realized Cailte was dying and knew of only one way to save her. Opening a vein with one lengthened canine he bled into Cailtes wounds. When he was sure she would survive, he silently disappeared into the woods, for centuries no one in the family knew what had happened to him. Cailte was found days later lying in a pool of dried blood, but with no noticeable wounds of her own. Nine months later she gave birth to the twins Birren and Bronwyn. Due to Cailtes gifts, and the blood she and Tannus now shared, she developed the ability to shape-shift. It was as This "power" was also apparent in her children. We take the name Cabot in reverence of our mother Cailte, and our fathers Boan and Tannus. |
