What power do our names have over us? Well, there is the myth that if you know someone's true name, you have power over that person. Names can affect how we feel about ourselves, how we see ourselves, and how others view us. Why did we choose The Strange Power for this page? Members chose the name for the following reasons:
Names were always said to give an individual the power of their name...I read that somewhere....besides, your name affects how people see you. Unusual names get you attention, and when you spell your name strangely, you come off as a pain in the arse
Names have a strange power, like knowing a person's name means to know their soul...or like the names of the runes in FG had power...
L. J. Smith picks certain names for her characters. We have separated them by each book and found the origin and meaning of each name.
