January 2008: New Letter from Lisa.

GREAT FANTASTIC NEWS! LJ Smith is writing again! She is working on Strange Fate and a fifth Vampire Diaries story! Her website goes active Friday, January 11, 2008! Please make sure you check her site out and let her know Cassie sent you! We will be opening to new members soon and her letter is posted now for you to read! This is great news especially as NW celebrated their 10th year anniversary August 2007! So all our patience has finally been rewarded!

October 2005: I've been hearing from various sources that Strange Fate is due out in October or September 2006 (depends on the country). I've heard from Lisa's camp that this is more than likely not so. Things can change but please don't be surprised if this is not released then. I know this is hard on all of us but please keep Lisa in your thoughts. This is hardest of all on her!

March 2005: Straight from Ms. Smith, here is some exciting news:
Strange Fate is close to being finished at last. It will take some time, of course, for it to be published, but when it is you might want to look at the dedication page.
I was very happy to hear from my agent that Pocket will be reissuing the Night World series-with different covers. Since they're reprinting the books, I will also be able to fix the problem of the apocalypse that comes during Strange Fate being scheduled for the millennium; I can edit it to "after the millennium" or "in the new millennium" or something. I had already written my way around the problem by having the Wild Powers suspended in time, but I'd rather fix up the old books anyway. One thing that my editor and I are thinking of is for me to write little side-stories that would be put on the Web as the books are released. The stories would be about the characters from whichever book comes out that month and how they deal with the apocalypse that comes in Strange Fate. So there would be one showing how James Rasmussen and Poppy and Phillip try to get to safety or help other people to a Circle Daybreak enclave or whatever, and one about Ash and Mary-Lynnette (which I'd originally written into Strange Fate itself since I wanted to finish their story.) The details of this aren't all worked out, but I think it might be a nice idea. I'm the sort of person who always wonders "what happened next" to the characters in books myself.

This is the club that started when these rules got broken. We are Night World: Circle Daybreak, a society made up of renegade Night World members, who believe it is okay to let SOME humans know we exist.
