April 2003: I have been informed by Her Interactive that they are no longer able to release the game for mass production. Your best bet will be Ebay. If we hear anything new, we'll let you know!
Introduction
When children start falling ill and turning up missing in the sleepy little town of Fells Church, the mystery is simply too dangerous and too intriguing to ignore.
With the help of her friends, Elena must unravel the puzzle of what is happening to the children of Fells Church. While doing so, she not only finds herself in danger, but uncovers a terrible secret about handsome newcomer Stefan, new teacher Damon, and discovers a lust for power that is hundreds of years old.

--20 MB available on hard disk
--PCI Video card with 1 MB VRAM
--Stereo sound card (SoundBlaster Pro or better)
The game runs best on the following system or better:
--Pentium 90 with monitor, mouse and keyboard
--Windows 95 installed
--4 x speed CD-ROM drive
--16 MB RAM
--62 MB hard drive space
--PCI Video Card with 2 MB VRAM
--Stereo sound card
Vampire Diaries is compatible with Direct X.

I have a copy of the Vampire Diaries CD-Rom game (being a L J Smith fan and always looking out for her stuff ^_^)
This game is a lot of fun but basically (to me), you'd have to have a lot of patience and some thinking to get through it
Bri Gallo writes: I have that Vampire Diaries Computer Game. It was kind of fun, except Damon could have had a better part and most of the time you just talk to characters in it. I thought it was pretty easy because I solved it mostly on my own, and I suck at those kind of games. But that's just me. Maybe I just thought like the programmer thought or something.

I have the game and I love it. Of course, it took me a while to solve it
because I kept sneaking back into the school to let Damon bite me (OK,
so I'm
obsessed! LOL), but the ending was worth it! It's a lot of talking and
finding
things to read and remembering them, but it's pretty easy if you have
the
patience. If you don't, hey, there's always that oh-so-helpful
walkthrough!
:-) I was pleasantly surprised that the characters and stories that we
love so
much about VD weren't changed one bit (you even get to hear Stefan tell
you
the story of him, Damon, and Katherine), and I recommend this game to
any VD
fan.

Because I love L.J. Smith's The Vampire Diaries series so much, I have
three copies of the PC game under the same name by Her Interactive.
It's a
rarity to find a female heroine in the gaming world which most of them
are
directed to the male audience. The game is pretty easy to solve for my
taste, and Her Interactive provided a free hint line to answer any
puzzles
that you may have trouble with. I had the series while I was in high
school. Finally, two years ago, it was made into a game, and I had to
get
it even though I was twenty at the time. Anyways, no matter how easy
the
game is (perhaps it was directed to the younger generation like 13 and
under), the story plot is terrific. In the near future, I will include
a
walkthrough for this game on my web site as one of my all time favorite
PC
horror/adventure/mystery games.
