We also have our very own IRC channel. Well two channels actually, #nightworld and #blackiris. They're owned by Faye and are on the server, efnet.

Meanwhile, we have got our own chatroom! It can be found here.

From there, you click the title, 'Black Iris' and it should lead you to the chatroom. Here are the guidelines to it, written by our very own Cassie.

1)     Your browser does need to be frames-compatible.  

2)     When you go in, there will be two frames. The big top one is where you read the posts. The one on the bottom is where you type your message.  

3)     Get your handle before you chat. If you are a NW member and want to use your handle, please put NW at the end of your name. This is also open to members of Circle Midnight and Circle Twilight (when she gets it ready) and they will need to put the appropriate abbr. at the end of their name.

If you are fortunate enough to have the same name in both clubs, like me, Muse, Opal, etc. You can leave off the NW or the CM (or CT).  It makes it less confusing if we do that. Thanks. I guess we can ask any non-members to put NM at the end of their handle.

Also, when you come in, it will tell you that you have no handle. Click on "Get/Change Handle". A new screen in that frame will come up. There is a space for you to put your handle. You can also link your handle to your homepage. As well as change the color of your words. Also, you can link to an image to be put by your name in the left frame. And last but not least, you can put in your email addy so if anyone wants to message you, they can. But they won't know your addy. It's private.  

4)     The chat will be open 24/7 but I am going to look into scheduling chats where we can hold a discussion on one topic or we can all just get together and party. Let me know times and days that would be good for people. I know we have some members overseas so maybe one of you would be interested in helping me run scheduled chats for y'all as well. You can also suggest topics. We might try to do up to 4 scheduled chats a week so everyone can come visit when able to.     

5)     Please remember no profanity. Be respectful of others. No flaming one another either. I will get upset if I hear or see any member being rude to another in there. And you don't want me upset about people doing something I asked specifically NOT to do.

6)     Most importantly, HAVE FUN! I called it The Black Iris cos that is the main club it seems in the NW books. They go there to meet with their friends and have fun and I want you to do the same. Feel free to discuss anything (nothing illegal tho) in there. Bring your friends. But all I ask is just follow the guidelines/rules. If this is being abused, I will take it down.  

7)     One last tip, the clock in there is set to Central Standard Time, which is the time zone I am in. So that is why the time will be different than yours (if not in CST). Just think, now you can always know what time it is at my house!
