The Night World: Circle Daybreak members decided a while ago that we want to donate money to a charity in the name of L. J. Smith. Part of what LJS writes about is unity and everyone getting along; tolerance; love for each other. One of our reasons for being (and the reason we chose Circle Daybreak) is to help make this a reality. This idea was inspired by Scott Broughton and the Midnight Club's decision to give a donation to a hospice (thanks Scott!).

Thanks to extremely generous young adults, the NW raised almost $500 to date. Our chosen charities were:
World Wildlife Foundation
Melanoma Foundation in Menlo Park
Network For Good - This one lists a bunch of charities and enables you to donate to them if they don't have their own sites.
Big Cat Rescue
SPCA of Texas and SPCA of San Francisco - They have this organization all over the world.
First Book - putting books in hands of poverty-stricken children
Doctors Without Borders
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society - One of our members signed up to run half the marathon. Help her reach her total!
Autism Society of America - Unfortunately, this is becoming a prevalent problem worldwide.
